As a director, partner centric scheduling on the newly formed Partner Centric Scheduling team, you will play a leadership role in reinventing scheduling for our hourly partners and store managers at Starbucks, improving our overall partner experience while ensuring that the schedules our partners live better reflect their preferences and needs. You will contribute to our partner experience by identifying and solving our most complex challenges in a manner that simultaneously addresses the needs of our partners, stores and business, enabling Starbucks to accelerate toward its vision to have the best jobs in retail. Success in this role will meaningfully change the scheduling paradigm at Starbucks and serve as an inspiration for other hourly employers in the retail, food service and hospitality industries, among others. You will achieve success in strong partnership with a wide array of team across Starbucks, including Analytics & Insights, Store Operations, Partner Resources (HR), Starbucks Technology, Enterprise Architecture and Partner Brand Communications while visioning and coordinating work with strategic third parties and frequently engaging to co-create the future directly with our retail partners.

Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
  • Independently convene working teams and lead strategic projects and initiatives with senior leaders, creating work plans, budgets and deliverables, executing on project plans and leading cross-functional teams through all stages of development and execution
  • Lead collaborative cross-functional teams, serving as the face of key initiatives and programs across the enterprise
  • Serve as a change agent and a champion on behalf of our Retail Partners, setting the vision, identifying opportunities and risks, and enrolling others to drive change at scale and with urgency
  • Innovate Starbucks approaches to scheduling, adding value and incremental capabilities to our existing toolkit while establishing Starbucks as a thought-leader across the industry
  • Serve as an influencer with executive leaders, representing the voice of our Partners through compelling storytelling rooted in data and insights
  • Utilize a systems thinking approach to conceive, plan and prioritize a wide array of scheduling-focused programs and initiatives, understanding interdependencies and relationships among them
  • Consults heavily with cross-functional leaders to ensure challenges and opportunities are anticipated and responses are coordinated
  • Challenges and inspires cross-functional team members to achieve extraordinary results

  • Experience driving change management at an organizational or enterprise level
  • Demonstrated success developing and deploying comprehensive strategies 5 years
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical leadership at intermediate/senior level 5 years
  • Experience in strategic consulting, brand/product management or analytics 10 years
  • Deep experience leading and facilitating cross functional groups 10 years
  • Experience developing annual operating plans and budget tracking
